Jeju Seonchaehyang 제주선채향

Only two dishes are on the menu at this roadside spot in Sagye, on the way to the Marado ferry pier: abalone kalguksu and abalone juk. The noodle broth tastes as if built on Korean seaweed soup, and adding cheongyang chili gives it a sharp edge, while the porridge, cooked with abalone innards and flesh, is thicker and nuttier. A place in line can be reserved ahead on the Tabling app, and on some days both sell out after lunch.
