White Crow Brewing 화이트 크로우 브루잉

Standing alone among the trees in Bangnim-myeon, Pyeongchang, the timber building looks like a Canadian mountain lodge, with a high ceiling and a real fireplace inside. The name, white crow, comes from a Silla-era name for the Pyeongchang area. A sampler of small glasses compares the four core beers, and the White Crow IPA has pine, citrus and grassy notes with a bitterness that lingers. Food stops at five wood-fired pizzas and poutine, and there is no coffee. In some seasons the taproom stays closed on weekdays and only sells bottles to go, and since you need a car to get here, someone in the group ends up as the driver.
