White Crow Brewing is a small craft brewery and taphouse in the mountains of Bangrim-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province. Its name comes from an old Silla-period place name for the Pyeongchang area. The freestanding timber building resembles a Canadian mountain lodge among the surrounding trees. Although the interior footprint is modest, a high ceiling opens the room vertically and a working fireplace adds warm light and a visible center of heat. Four core beers range from bright, refreshing styles to brews with heavier malt, hop aroma, and bitterness. White Crow IPA places pine, citrus, and grassy hop notes around a clear bitter structure, with malt sweetness supporting the finish. A sampler of four small glasses allows color, carbonation, aroma, body, and bitterness to be compared in sequence rather than committing the table to one full pour. Seasonal beers and experimental batches use ingredients or fermentation directions outside the core range. The brewery's beer has also received awards in Asian craft-beer competitions. Food centers on five kinds of wood-fired pizza and poutine. High oven heat inflates the pizza rim and browns the base while leaving chewy dough beneath melted cheese and sauce. Different toppings add salt, fat, vegetables, or meat over the same fired crust. Poutine covers french fries with gravy and cheese, moving from crisp potato edges to salty liquid and soft dairy. These foods match the beer through roasted dough, melted fat, salt, and fried surfaces rather than delicate seasoning. Timber walls, a tall roof, fireplace, beer taps, sampler boards, and blistered pizza crusts establish the lodge character inside. Beyond the windows, forest and mountain air provide a setting distinct from an urban basement or street-corner taproom. Pale and dark beer, orange fire, golden pizza, brown gravy, and natural wood create a compact palette that connects brewing equipment and the rural building.
