Small and softly lit, this Haebangchon bar pairs natural wine and beer with Western-style plates cooked with obvious care. Eggs in hell, eggs poached in spiced tomato sauce, comes with enough sauce that an extra order of bread for dipping makes sense. Heui Pasta uses a gochujang rose sauce, mixing Korean and Western flavors, while gambas and cheese tomato pasta sit beside less expected dishes like mussel soup and dakbokkeum-tang, a spicy braised chicken. Portions are big: two people ordering three plates leave full.
