The signature Gute Leute espresso is topped with butterscotch cream and a cookie, and the cookie is eaten with a spoon before the coffee. Granita pours espresso over lemon slush for a clean finish, and the pinecone is sipped while turning a cup set with sugar, lemon and cocoa powder. A seasonal omakase course of five espresso drinks runs by reservation, with bread added for two guests. Raw concrete walls contrast with a stainless bar, and the ordering line forms in the middle of the room, so busy hours get cramped.
