테라로사 커피공장 강릉본점

Terarosa Coffee Factory Gangneung Bonjeom, located in Gujeong-myeon on the outskirts of Gangneung, is the headquarters of the roastery that helped establish Korea's specialty coffee culture. Despite its tucked-away position deep in a valley, the parking lot fills up on weekends as visitors stream in from across the country. The building functions as both a working coffee factory and a cafe, with the roasting operation visible from the interior. Double-height ceilings and an open second-floor mezzanine lend the space an industrial grandeur that distinguishes it from typical cafes. Hand-drip coffee is available in both hot and iced preparations, and espresso-based drinks allow customization of milk type. The Bergamot Sweet Cafe Latte stands out for the clean interplay between milk and bergamot citrus notes. A coffee museum tour runs every hour on the hour at 12,000 won per person, covering the history of coffee, the journey from green beans to roasted product, and concluding with a tasting of three different hand-drip coffees. Tickets are sold at the on-site art shop, which also carries coffee chocolates, drip bags, tumblers, and other merchandise. The Terarosa white chocolate blends coffee and cacao in a way that departs from conventional white chocolate, making it a popular gift purchase. An outdoor garden terrace provides a calm alternative to the main seating area. Weekends and post-lunch hours bring kiosk order queues exceeding twenty minutes, and bakery items tend to sell out early in the day, making weekday morning visits the most practical strategy.
