After more than 30 years in Garak-dong, this gamjatang (pork-bone and potato stew) house moved to Munjeong-dong and now stays open 24 hours. Pork spine bones simmer until the meat falls away easily, and the broth starts mild and deepens the longer it boils at the table. The meat comes in large pieces, with plenty of green onion and dried cabbage leaves. Enoki mushrooms, sujebi dough flakes, bean sprouts and glass noodles fill out the pot, and fried rice finishes it. The move brought a larger dining room, and a kids' playroom, pork cutlet for children and parking attendants make it practical for families. The single-serving ppyeo haejangguk is gentle on the palate but smaller than the shared stew.
