Ganghwa Sikdang 강화식당

Bandaengi, a small herring-like fish from Ganghwa Island, is tossed raw with minari (water parsley) in a sweet-and-sour dressing for bandaengi hoe-muchim, which you mix into rice drizzled with sesame oil. The restaurant has stood in Madu-dong for more than 30 years, since the early days of Ilsan new town, and a recent remodel replaced floor seating with tables.
