Dwitpuri 뒤풀이

Two large chunks of cod go into the teuk (large) daegutang, a cod soup whose broth is sweet-edged and clean, the kind people eat to recover after a night of drinking. The flesh breaks apart at a touch, which makes it easy to mix rice into the bowl, and pickled garlic scapes on the side cut through the broth. Ppoljjim, braised fish cheeks and head meat, is the other main dish. Later in the afternoon the room is calmer, which suits a solo hangover meal.
