Dongraejeong 동래정

Staff grill the moksal (pork neck) and samgyeopsal (pork belly) at the table from start to finish, which makes this an easy meal with small children. The first order must be two servings of the same item, so a pair cannot split between cuts. The side dishes served with the lettuce wraps are prepared like small dishes in their own right, and deodeok-muchim, a nutty seasoned root, is the side to add. The zucchini stew runs slightly sweet. Slicing in a few of the green chilies from the wrap plate fixes the balance. Lunch specials include rice and stew at no charge, with pot rice and doenjang-jjigae at midday. Near Sinpung Station, lunchtime parking is hard to find.
