Organic cheonggukjang, a fermented soybean stew, comes out savory and lightly seasoned, without the heavy funk the dish can have. The base meal is home-style: barley rice mixed with assorted seasoned greens, eaten with spoonfuls of the stew. Set meals change with the meat on the side, from tender, sweet tteokgalbi patties and clean-tasting boiled pork to an iron-plate duruchigi pork stir-fry. Rice comes as pot-cooked, barley, or plain white, and a misutgaru grain slush is handed out as dessert on the way out. The restaurant spreads over two floors with parking, which makes it easy for family outings and groups.
