Cham Jeonbokjuk 참전복죽

When an order comes in, the elderly couple who run the place pull a live abalone from the tank and only then start cooking. Expect about 15 minutes for jeonbok-juk (abalone rice porridge), or call ahead to order and cut the wait. Cooked without seasoning powders, the porridge is mild, with salt served on the side for adjusting. Side dishes use vegetables from the owners' own garden, and homemade sikhye (sweet rice drink) ends the meal.
