Buyong 부용

The yuringi here comes without the usual lettuce: thick, crisp batter under a dense sauce that tastes close to soy-glazed fried chicken. Uni jjajang, black-bean noodles with finely minced toppings, is the standard order, and the white jjamppong has a deep, mild broth with no wok smoke. Candied sweet potato arrives at the end of the meal. The large building by the Geumjang Bridge in Gyeongju has a wide hall on the ground floor and, upstairs, private rooms mostly for groups and reservations.
