Bongi Tonkatsu 봉이돈까스

Customers' sticky notes and old LP sleeves cover the walls of a tonkatsu shop that has held the same spot near Bongcheon Station for more than 15 years. The spicy tonkatsu wears a sweet, chili-glazed sauce much like Korean yangnyeom fried chicken, and ordering it as a set with chilled buckwheat noodles in cold broth tames the heat. The 100% cheese tonkatsu is packed so full that the cheese still stretches after it cools. Sets shrink the cutlet a little but add a big bowl of naengmomil or udon. Orders go through a QR code at the table, kkakdugi sits on each table, and pickles are self-serve.
