Anseong Jangteo Gukbap 안성장터국밥

Four generations have served market-style gukbap here in Anseong for over a century, though several longtime customers say the taste changed after the move into a new building on a much larger lot. The menu stops at two items: jangteo-gukbap and boiled beef-head meat (someori suyuk). Thick with dried cabbage greens, vegetables and beef, the soup looks like yukgaejang but isn't spicy, and chili flakes stirred in cling to the broth nicely. Kkakdugi and napa cabbage kimchi come on the side.
