안일옥 본점
Established in 1920 and now operated by the fourth generation of the founding family, Anilok is the oldest seolleongtang restaurant in Gyeonggi Province and a certified century-old establishment. The ox bone broth is extracted without any artificial seasoning - the first spoonful may strike some as mild, but each subsequent taste reveals the quiet depth and clean, milky richness that only prolonged, natural simmering can produce. Compared to most seolleongtang restaurants, the meat portions are notably generous, with a diverse selection of cuts that turns a single bowl into a substantial, nourishing meal. Ordering the large size makes it even more filling. The menu extends beyond seolleongtang to include gomtang, ujok-tang (ox feet soup), and galbitang, and side dishes including baechu-geotjeori and kkakdugi are available self-service. The soup is completely free of any off-putting odors, making it approachable even for young children. The restaurant opens at 8 AM, making it an excellent option for an early morning meal, and a dedicated parking lot is available - though it fills to capacity during lunch hours. Expect on-site waiting during peak meal times, so visiting during off-peak hours is advisable. The atmosphere of this century-old establishment, with its well-maintained traditional character, adds an intangible dimension to the dining experience that modern restaurants simply cannot replicate.
