Myeongdong has had this electric rotisserie chicken since 1960, and the birds come out with skin as crisp as fried chicken despite never touching oil. The plain samgyetang, ginseng chicken soup, has a clear broth; the deulkkae version thickens it with ground perilla seed. Old-fashioned mayo salad, pickled radish and salt come with the chicken. Myeongdong Station Exit 5 is a short walk away, which beats trying to park. A tongdak set with soup, bread and butter appears only at lunch.
