A casual restaurant on the second floor of Sungsimdang's main store in Eunhaeng-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon. It operates in food-court style - orders are placed at kiosks and picked up from separate stations for donkatsu, omurice, pasta, pilaf, and bingsu. The donkatsu features a crispy coating with a Western-style sauce that earns high marks, and the assorted katsu plate includes two king prawn tempura, pork cutlet, and cheese cutlet for a generous 13,000 won. The omurice sauce is so popular it is sold separately, with a kimchi fried rice base delivering a satisfying kick. The legendary pat bingsu is a signature dessert at 6,500 won, topped generously with domestic red beans and strawberries. A self-service bar provides unlimited soup, Korean-made kimchi, and salad, and diners receive a one-hour free parking voucher. Bread purchased from the Sungsimdang main store downstairs can be brought up to enjoy alongside the meal.
