Inside an alley of Daejo Market beside Bulgwang Station, the sundaeguk, blood sausage soup, comes with meat piled to the rim of the earthenware bowl. Salkogi sundaeguk holds only lean pork for anyone avoiding offal and head meat, while modum sundaeguk mixes head meat, offal and sundae. The sausage is chewy like a glutinous-rice sundae, and the blood sausage tastes clean. A mild broth without porky odor takes its salt from saeujeot, salted shrimp, with kimchi and radish kimchi that taste homemade. The suyuk, boiled pork platter, is so large that two people sharing it with soup will have plenty.
