Namhangjin Fishing Village Restaurant 남항진어촌식당

Fresh mangchi, a local East Coast fish, does not arrive every day, and when it is missing there is no mangchi maeuntang (spicy fish stew). The stew holds chewy, gelatinous skin and soft white flesh in a peppery broth, and a large pot feeds four. Gajami hoe-muchim, flash-frozen flounder in a sweet, tangy red dressing, goes alongside and gets mixed into rice.
