Namcheon Maru 남천마루

Namcheon Maru is a Korean home-cooking restaurant near Namcheon Bridge in Jeonju's Hanok Village, where dishes are prepared entirely with natural seasonings. The signature bibimbap (available for two or more) stands out for its use of long-aged soy sauce in place of the typical gochujang. The hand-cut kalguksu features thick, chewy noodles in a rich broth loaded with clams, enoki mushrooms, chives, and carrots. Patjuk (red bean porridge) made from domestic beans with the shells strained out is so mild it can be enjoyed even by small children. Freshly made geotjeori (kimchi) with naturally sweet napa cabbage is a standout side dish. Orders are placed via kiosk, and street parking is available across the bridge.
