On the assorted platter, sizing up only adds more of the main fish; the side servings of mackerel, hairtail and filefish sashimi stay the same, and two people are fine with the small. A simplified one-person platter exists for solo diners. The oily mackerel gets its own soy sauce, and a clear fish soup with seaweed comes to the table too. Braised gaekjuri, as Jeju calls filefish, is not too salty and works with rice. The room feels more like a rowdy soju bar than a sashimi house.
