The two-story building is spacious and clean, with kiosk ordering terminals at every table. The buckwheat makguksu comes in a sweet-and-tangy seasoning designed for broad appeal, keeping the flavor clean and approachable rather than aggressive. Both mul-makguksu and bibim-makguksu are available, and both broth and extra noodle refills are complimentary, eliminating any worry about portion size. The fried chicken wears a buckwheat-blended batter and arrives straight from the fryer with satisfying crunch, recalling the texture and charm of old-school Korean whole-chicken joints. Fried in clean oil, the chicken avoids greasiness, and the ratio of lean meat to fat is well-balanced for a pleasant bite. The cool noodles cut through the richness of the chicken in a combination that sounds unlikely but works remarkably well in practice. A self-serve station offers unlimited chicken radish, warm broth, and yeolmu kimchi, adding value to an already generous setup. Popularity is intense, arriving ten minutes before the eleven o'clock opening can still result in a queue number in the mid-thirties, even on weekdays.
