Jjang Tteokbokki 짱떡볶이

Wheat rice cakes simmer in a mild, gently sweet broth like school-gate tteokbokki, and fried snacks or flat dumplings get dunked into it. The owner and her sons run the shop together, and even for a single portion they ask how much broth you want. Fried items picked from the basket are fried once more until crisp, and mini kimbap is sold too. Uncooked tteokbokki is also packed to go for cooking at home. Since an appearance on the TV show Master of Living, lines start in the morning, and ingredients run out early, with fried items and kimbap selling out first.
