After relocating from its original Banpo location, it has continued to enjoy loyal patronage from long-time Banpo residents and attracts diners of every age group, from teenagers to seniors, a rare sight for a bunsik (Korean snack food) establishment. The restaurant occupies the second floor of its building, accessible by stairs or elevator, with the exterior wall covered in celebrity autographs from past television appearances. The interior is unexpectedly spacious for a tteokbokki restaurant, with ample seating that creates a comfortable dining environment. For dine-in orders, guests fill out a paper form at the table and prepay at the counter; takeout orders are processed through a kiosk. The instant tteokbokki features a sauce blending jjajang and gochujang, producing an initial sweetness that gradually gives way to a slow-building spice with strong addictive qualities. The wheat rice cakes maintain their chewy texture throughout the meal without becoming mushy, even after prolonged simmering. Adding jjolmyeon or ramen noodles is popular, though these should be eaten first as they soften quickly. Cabbage makes a worthwhile addition for textural contrast. The essential side order is the muchim-gunmandu, crispy fried dumplings generously coated in a thick, sweet red sauce resembling yangnyeom chicken glaze.
