Most tables order the braised hairtail and the stir-fried squid together and alternate the two sauces over rice. The radish and potato braised alongside the plump hairtail soak up its sweet sauce. The squid sauce, sweetened with fruit and colored dark red with sun-dried taeyangcho chili powder, is properly hot, which sends children toward the hairtail. Rice is packed down so hard that one bowl holds close to two.
