Hyejangguk 혜장국

Daegu-style yukgaejang, a spicy beef soup loaded with green onion and radish, comes to the table still boiling in a large earthenware bowl, and the house calls it hyejangguk. The radish gives sweetness and the green onion a fresh sharpness, and the teuk (large) size adds big chunks of Korean beef. Hanwoo suyuk, sliced boiled beef such as brisket, flank and shank, is eaten with chives and comes with a meatless bowl of the soup.
