한가람
Hangaram is a yakseon hanjeongsik (medicinal Korean full-course) restaurant near City Hall Station in Seoul's Sogong-dong area, operated by Korea's first certified yakseon herbal cuisine master. After a fire in early 2024, the space underwent a complete renovation and reopened with a more modern interior while preserving its culinary traditions. The menu centers on elaborate set meals featuring ganjang-gejang (soy-marinated raw crab), bori-gulbi (salted dried yellow corvina), jeonbok-satae-jang (abalone and beef shank), okdom-gui (grilled red tilefish), jangeo-gui (grilled eel), and LA galbi-gui. Every banchan reflects careful ingredient selection, and mixing rice into the ganjang-gejang crab shell is considered an essential ritual of the meal. The bori-gulbi arrives plump and expertly grilled, while the eel rivals dedicated specialty restaurants in tenderness. Homemade bokbunja (Korean raspberry wine) is offered as a complimentary pairing, and the meal concludes with a rich hobak-sikhye (pumpkin rice punch). A vegan-adapted full course is also available. The restaurant draws a steady stream of international visitors, making it a reliable choice for business hosting or special-occasion Korean dining.
