Singungjeon 신궁전

Sliding paper doors divide the large hall so each party eats in its own section. The gunggwol jeongsik, or Palace set, opens with dishes such as yukhoe, steamed ray and pyogo-beoseot tangsuyuk, crisp fried shiitake in a sweet glaze and the kitchen's signature. Turmeric-yellow pot rice (ganghwang sotbap), doenjang stew, nurungji from the pot and sujeonggwa, a cinnamon-ginger punch, close the meal.
