Halmae Jaecheopguk is a jaecheopguk (marsh clam soup) restaurant near Gwangalli Beach in Suyeong-gu, Busan, opening at 6 AM and serving as an ideal destination for a hangover cure or a hearty early morning meal. The jaechop-jinguk version packs the bowl with abundant clams, producing a milky, intensely flavored broth that soothes the stomach without aggressive seasoning. The jaechop-jeongshik set includes the soup alongside braised mackerel, thick soybean paste for mixing with rice, and fresh vegetables for bibimbap — a generous spread at roughly ten to eleven thousand won that represents strong value. The soybean paste avoids excessive saltiness and blends naturally with the rice, while the rolled egg among the banchan stands out as particularly well-made. A jaechop-deopbap (clam rice bowl) is also available, broadening the range of options. The restaurant occupies a sizable building with private dining rooms and second-floor seating, and approximately ten cars can park in front through double-parking. The ordering system relies on the owner's memory rather than written tickets, which occasionally leads to missed items, and weekend mornings bring longer waits and slower service. Gwangalli Beach lies just fifty meters from the entrance, making a post-meal seaside stroll a natural continuation.
