Gwangpyeong Pyongyang Naengmyeon Galbi Gangnam is an upscale meat restaurant on Seoun-ro in Seocho-gu, Seoul, operated under chef Kim In-bok's direction. The first floor features an open dining hall, while the second floor houses private rooms of various sizes accessible via a steep staircase, making the venue suitable for family gatherings, corporate dinners, and celebratory occasions. A notable advantage is the absence of room charges even on weekends and public holidays. The interior design, ambient lighting, and background music combine to elevate even an ordinary meal into something special. The restaurant sources top-grade Korean hanwoo beef and Nanchuk Matdon pork, with thick-cut portions grilled tableside by attentive staff who cook the meat to a perfectly tender, yielding texture. The hanwoo yukhoe (raw beef tartare) is exceptionally fresh and umami-rich, making it a must-order starter, while the version paired with agwi-gan (monkfish liver) adds an indulgent dimension. Uni (sea urchin) also receives favorable mention. The Nanchuk Matdon samgyeopsal (pork belly) and moksal (pork neck) are praised for their visibly superior quality, and the marinated grilled cuts are equally recommended. Among the side dishes, the myeolchi-jorim (braised anchovies) stands out as a signature accompaniment that works brilliantly when placed atop baby napa cabbage leaves.
