Gop Mullae Bonjeom is a gopchang (beef intestine) restaurant in Mullae-dong 3-ga, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, housed inside the Rodeo Wax Shopping Mall. Having held its ground in Mullae-dong for over a decade, it has earned Blue Ribbon recognition and gained wider fame through television appearances, including a visit from comedian Park Na-rae on the show Julseoneun Sikdang. The signature handmade garlic gopchang is the main attraction: minced garlic is tucked inside the intestine folds before grilling, releasing a punchy roasted garlic aroma while completely eliminating any trace of offal odor. The daechang (beef large intestine) is bouncy, rich, and exceeded expectations for many diners, and a mixed order of gopchang and daechang is a popular combination. Yukhoe (beef tartare) is also available on the menu, and a complimentary sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) accompanies every order, providing a clean palate-cleansing finish. The banchan is neatly prepared and helps ensure the overall meal never feels greasy. The gopchang is so free of off-flavors that even elementary school-aged children eat it enthusiastically. The restaurant runs review events on social media, Naver, and Google. Located close to Mullae Station, it is easily accessible by subway. Arriving at the five or six o'clock opening time is strongly recommended, as Friday evenings fill up rapidly and significant waits develop shortly after. The restaurant draws a notably high proportion of female diners. The surrounding Mullae-dong area offers a variety of long-established beer halls and restaurants, making it easy to combine the visit with a broader food exploration of the neighborhood.
