Yuchihoegwan has served its signature haejangguk in Suwon since 1987. Operating 24 hours a day, the restaurant is defined by a thick, heavy beef broth with a prominent oil content. The stone pot comes packed with such a large amount of meat that the ox blood curd (seonji) is provided in a separate dish. This generous approach to portions makes it one of the most substantial hangover soup destinations in the country. The flavor leans into a strong beef profile similar to the regional soup styles of Gyeongsang-do. For anyone preferring a lighter finish, the richness may feel heavy. To balance this, the restaurant serves a sweet and tangy shredded radish salad (musaengchae) that cleanses the palate. House-made radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi are also provided. Ample parking is located on Hyowon-ro. Despite the large capacity, the interior often fills up before 11:00 AM. Arriving in the early morning ensures immediate seating. Takeout is also popular among regulars.
