This Busan institution in Yongho-dong serves old-fashioned pat-bingsu (red bean shaved ice) with hand-cooked red beans that taste like they came straight from a grandmother's kitchen. At 3,500 won for the classic and 5,000 won for the milk version, the pricing is remarkably generous with portions to match. The classic bingsu uses apple jam instead of sugar for sweetness, keeping it clean-tasting, while the milk version combines smooth milk ice with beans for a creamier experience. Personally, I preferred the classic for letting the pure red bean flavor shine through. From October through May, they sell bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastries) with crispy shells filled with sweet red bean paste that pair fantastically with the bingsu or danpatjuk porridge. The shop is spotless and you can see the red bean cooking area, which adds trust in the quality. No dedicated parking exists, but a private lot in front charges 1,000 won per thirty minutes. A great stop after browsing the nearby market.
