Yeonnam Masil 연남마실

Cheongmyeongju, chusungju and samhae-soju, all Korean traditional liquors, form the base of the cocktails at this bar at the far end of Yeonnam-dong, run by World Class champion bartender Lee Min-gyu. From outside it looks like a Bali resort, but inside the room is snug and quiet enough for conversation. Namul Smash reworks a basil smash with seasonal Korean greens; one version used bangaip, a minty Korean herb. A monthly cocktail called Wolgan Masil rotates in, and non-alcoholic drinks cover anyone not drinking. The interior mixes hanok touches with industrial finishes and opens onto a terrace and courtyard, and pets are allowed.
