Sobakhan Bapsang 소박한밥상

A Korean full-course restaurant in Seosan's Inji-myeon, Chungnam, with lotus leaf rice as the signature dish. The banchan spread is extensive yet individually refined, with gentle seasoning that highlights wholesome flavors. The bossam features tender meat, and the barley-dried gulbi comes pre-deboned for easy eating. The soybean paste soup is enriched with dried shrimp for a savory depth, and the burdock japchae replaces glass noodles with finely julienned burdock for a unique texture. The full course proceeds seamlessly through to a finishing bowl of nurungji. Tables are limited, so reservations are recommended. Though the location is somewhat remote, it is well worth the detour during a trip to the Taean coast.
