The banchan spread is extensive yet individually refined, with gentle seasoning that highlights wholesome flavors. The bossam features tender meat, and the barley-dried gulbi comes pre-deboned for easy eating. The soybean paste soup is enriched with dried shrimp for a savory depth, and the burdock japchae replaces glass noodles with finely julienned burdock for a unique texture. The full course proceeds seamlessly through to a finishing bowl of nurungji. Tables are limited, so reservations are recommended. Though the location is somewhat remote, it is well worth the detour during a trip to the Taean coast.
