Pujuok 푸주옥

The broth comes unseasoned and is thick enough to leave your lips sticky by the end. There is no dadaegi chili paste, just salt, scallions and black pepper. Kimchi and kkakdugi are the only sides, and a cube of radish ends up on nearly every spoonful. Teuk seolleongtang, the special, comes in an earthenware pot with beef, soft knee cartilage and thin noodles, while the regular bowl is served in an ordinary dish. The boiled beef platter, modeum suyuk, is large.
