Fresh gondre, a mountain thistle green usually seen dried and brown, is piled bright green over the noodles in the gondre makguksu, seasoned with a salty soy-based sauce. The deulkkae makguksu leans on the nutty, soft richness of ground perilla seed, and the spicy bibim version leaves a sweet finish after the heat. The buckwheat noodles are tender enough to eat without scissors, which makes them easy for children. A tasting portion of bossam pork comes with seasoned vegetables, and handmade dumplings and squid sundae are also offered. The shop is 300m from Jamsilsaenae Station, close to Seokchon Lake; parking is behind the building, with a 30-minute ticket given at the register.
