Down an alley near Hansung University Station, a converted hanok with a small courtyard holds a bar lined with bags of beans. Hand-drip coffee comes from a house blend or one of eight or nine single origins, including Brazil, Ethiopia and Colombia; if the names mean little, the barista talks through the flavors and sometimes offers a taste first. The latte balances strong coffee with milk, cream matcha is moderately sweet, and any coffee can be made decaf. Tiramisu is soft and creamy, with scones, an apple-cinnamon pastry and a peanut-butter crumble alongside. Lights under the eaves outline the hanok at night. Tables sit close together.
