Served at about 70 degrees Celsius, the clear broth can be eaten right away, though anyone expecting a scalding bowl may find it lukewarm. This Yeouido branch is run directly by Hadonggwan, the Myeongdong gomtang house dating to 1939, and its hanwoo gomtang carries a clean beef aroma. Teuk gomtang adds offal to the meat, and asking to leave out the offal gets you extra beef instead. Pay first, take any open seat, and the bowl arrives almost immediately. Hours run from morning to late lunch only. Lunch gets crowded, but waits are shorter than at the Myeongdong original.
