Gyodong Dawon 교동다원

You brew the hwangcha yourself, pouring hot water from a thermos over the same leaves again and again. Half-fermented, this yellow tea is less bitter and astringent than green or black tea, and first-timers get a lesson from the owners on handling the tea set and pouring. Pairs are asked to order the same tea, since they will share one thermos and one set of cups. On the side there is black-sesame yanggaeng, yakgwa, a fried pastry glazed with grain syrup, and gureum-seolgi, a steamed rice cake.
