A hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) restaurant near Gangcheonseom in Yeoju, widely regarded among locals as the top-tier Korean table in the city. The approach through a country lane past rice paddies leads to a building that could easily be mistaken for a cafe, but stepping inside reveals tasteful decor and carefully arranged place settings - and the first bite of food confirms this is a serious kitchen. Individual set meals can be ordered per person, allowing groups to sample different mains such as bulgogi, jeyuk-bokkeum, yangnyeom-gejang, tteokgalbi, and dubu-jorim. The banchan is neatly prepared with a subtle twist on familiar home-cooking flavors that lifts each dish - standouts include a distinctive tomato kimchi. A self-service bar allows unlimited refills, so nothing runs short. The owner is exceptionally hospitable, service is swift, and small touches like the napkin presentation reveal genuine attention to detail. Prices are reasonable at 13,000 to 15,000 won per set. Parking requires finding a spot along nearby streets, which can be inconvenient, but the consistently high food quality has built a loyal base of returning visitors whenever they pass through Yeoju. A second branch is planned near the local outlet mall.
