Positioned just two minutes on foot from Euljiro 3-ga Station Exit 8, the shop gained additional visibility through appearances on programs such as Jeon Hyun-moo's Plan and has recently opened a second location. The menu comprises udon, tempura udon, fried tofu udon, curry, and fried tofu sushi, with udon starting from 5,000 won, an almost anachronistically low price for central Seoul. The anchovy-based broth is deep and refreshing, carrying a familiar quality that evokes highway rest stop udon in the most nostalgic sense, and the noodles retain a satisfying hand-cut chewiness. The tempura udon features shrimp in a thick batter designed not for crispness but to absorb the broth, a distinctive characteristic particular to this establishment. The curry-udon combo at 7,500 won pairs udon with curry rice for a filling combination, with the curry delivering an unpretentious home-cooking flavor. Side offerings include kkakdugi, pickled radish, and pickles, the latter proving a surprisingly compatible pairing with the udon. The interior is compact, counter seats, a window row, and two tables, making it perfectly suited for solo dining, and despite its old-school feel, card payment is accepted. Orders are placed at the table with payment settled at the counter upon departure. The elderly staff maintain a gentle, welcoming atmosphere, and a notable number of patrons pair their udon with warm sake, positioning this as the ideal final stop after an evening of drinking in Euljiro. Peak hours generate a queue, but the rapid turnover ensures minimal actual waiting.
