Daenamugol Hanjeongsik 대나무골한정식

From the street you will barely see the sign: the restaurant sits in the basement of the Yeongpo Building on Beobwon-ro 3-gil, about 150 meters from Seocho Station. The Korean course moves from salad and small starters through grilled and steamed dishes to daetong-bap, rice cooked in a bamboo tube, with gentle seasoning throughout. A large hall holds several group tables, which suits family events, business lunches and company dinners. Reservations are taken by phone. When the room is busy the pacing goes uneven, with plates arriving in a rush or after long gaps.
