Breuda Yangju 브루다 양주

Breuda Yangju is a large bakery cafe at 909 Gwonyul-ro in Baekseok-eup, Yangju, facing Gisan Reservoir. The property is divided among a main building, an annex, outdoor terraces, and rooftop seating. Floor-to-ceiling windows keep the reservoir and the mountain ridge opposite it visible from the interior. Long communal tables, fabric sofas, and standard dining chairs appear in separate seating zones, with changes in furniture and lighting distinguishing one part of the building from another. Outside, the lower level connects toward a walking path along the water. A planted area with hydrangeas introduces broad summer foliage, while the reservoir and snow-covered mountain become the principal background in winter. The drinks list includes Breuda Einspanner, honey cinnamon coffee, Breuda Sunset, and a Yangju rice shake. The Einspanner places cream over coffee, creating a cool, dense top above the darker liquid. Honey cinnamon coffee adds floral sweetness and dry spice to the roasted base. The rice shake carries the Yangju name and builds its body from rice and milk rather than espresso. Vanilla latte and passion-fruit ade cover familiar coffee and fruit formats beside those house drinks. The bakery display contains croissants, multiple kinds of baked bread, and cakes. A citrus croissant combines laminated pastry with a sharper fruit aroma. Blueberry cake uses fruit, cream, and cake layers, giving it a softer structure than the croissant. Brunch plates add a meal format separate from the pastry case. The Ahn Sangchul Art Museum stands immediately beside the cafe, so its building forms part of the same reservoir-side setting even though it remains a separate institution. Breuda's spatial character comes from the vertical and horizontal sequence through the site: enclosed rooms behind glass, large tables and sofas in themed sections, an open terrace, rooftop seats above the main volume, and the path below near the water. Each level changes how much of the reservoir, garden, and surrounding mountain is visible without altering the cafe's central bakery and coffee service.
