Waffles are baked as soon as you order, crisp outside and soft within, and only lightly sweet, which leaves room for a scoop of vanilla ice cream beside one. The strawberry bingsu uses coarser ice than the fluffy modern kind, crunchy under the spoon, topped with house-made strawberry syrup and vanilla ice cream, and scooping syrup and ice cream together balances it. The shop has run near Sookmyung Women's University for years, keeping old standbys such as butter-jam waffles and a ball sandwich. Staff wipe each table with disinfectant as soon as it clears. Friday evenings and weekends get busy, and with parking scarce, walking from the nearby subway station is easier. Prices stay student-friendly.
