Set on the mid-slopes of Hallasan in Seogwipo's Sanghyo-dong, this small organic tea plantation offers a genuinely peaceful retreat. Admission is 5,000 won and includes a pot of green tea and yellow tea plus a simple Korean confection. The green tea was more flavorful than I expected, and sipping it while gazing out at the tea rows through the tearoom window was deeply calming. A short walking trail weaves through the tea bushes - it is compact rather than sprawling, which gives it an intimate charm, and on clear days Hallasan's Baengnokdam crater is visible behind the fields. The family-run operation means the owners personally serve each table and explain the teas, radiating genuine warmth. Compared to the crowded Osulloc, this place is blissfully quiet and unhurried. Parking is available near the entrance.
