Seogwi Dawon 서귀다원

At 250 meters up the slope of Hallasan, a family turned their tangerine orchard into an organic tea farm, and the admission fee buys a seat in the tearoom with green tea and hwangcha, a mellow yellow tea, steeped for you. The green tea has a clear, distinct aroma, the yellow tea a heavier body, and yakgwa honey cookies come alongside. Out the window run stone walls and tidy rows of tea, with the Baengnokdam crater visible behind them on clear days. The field is small, so the walk is over quickly, but it is quiet, and the rows stay green through winter.
