Pohang Bada Wonhae is a live-fish and seafood restaurant occupying a three-story building at 397 Haean-ro in Buk-gu, Pohang, near Yeongildae Beach. Large dining-room windows face the sea across the road. The building contains an open hall and several private rooms, all arranged with tables and chairs rather than floor seating. Two rooms can be joined for a first-birthday celebration, family event, or another large meal. Pohang-style mulhoe begins as sliced raw fish and vegetables already mixed with seasoning. A separate bowl of icy broth lets each diner control the final consistency. It can be eaten first as seasoned sashimi, loosened with a small amount of broth, or turned into a fuller cold soup. Boiled somyeon noodles accompany the dish and can be added after the fish and vegetables have flavored the liquid. Basic mulhoe comes with maeuntang. The set version expands the table with grilled fish, amberjack tataki sushi, rice wrapped in gamtae seaweed, fried fish skin, and other small seafood plates. This makes the set suitable for diners who want a sequence of side dishes, while a basic bowl keeps the order centered on mulhoe. Maeuntang contains perilla leaves and large radish pieces and cooks over a table burner. The regular bowl and full set differ in both price and number of dishes, so group size and appetite determine the more practical option. Hall seats provide the chance of a direct ocean sightline. Private rooms trade some of that openness for separation and easier group conversation. A dedicated parking area serves the building, but its capacity is smaller than the dining operation and may fill when many groups arrive by car.
