Even the smallest haemul-jjim (spicy braised seafood with bean sprouts) feeds about three adults. The bean sprouts release little water and leave the thick sauce clinging to the seafood. It is gently seasoned rather than fiery, which suits meals with older relatives, though it reads closer to tteokbokki sauce than to a clear seafood broth. Clam kalguksu (bajirak kalguksu) or perilla-seed sujebi gives the table a soup to alternate with, and sweet red-bean porridge closes the meal. Close-set tables and large groups make the room loud. It sits on the second floor right outside Exit 2 of Oksu Station.
