A hanok building inside the Walkerhill complex looks down on the Han River, and the hanwoo sirloin and marinated galbi are grilled over good-quality charcoal with a fan system that pulls the smoke away. Many diners end with rice and a doenjang stew holding meaty blue crab; galbitang is the one-bowl alternative. In the separate annex, a hanwoo omakase cooked by the chef runs from skirt-steak yukhoe and beef jeon (egg-battered slices) to clam-and-kelp pot rice. Prices are high, but Walkerhill membership and affiliated cards bring discounts and free valet. The hall gets busy at weekend lunches, which often coincide with first-birthday parties and similar events.
