MontBeer 몽트비어

MontBeer is a craft brewery and pub at 7-1 Haksapyeong-gil in Sokcho, Gangwon Province. Beer is brewed on the first floor and poured in the pub directly above it, joining production and drinking space within one building. The lineup spans IPA, sour beer, stout, and seasonal releases. IPA places hop aroma and bitterness at the center, often moving through tropical fruit, citrus, ripe fruit, and resin-like tones. Sour beer uses fermentation acidity to lighten malt sweetness. White Peach Sour adds stone-fruit aroma to that tart base, bringing fresh peach character without turning the beer into a simple sweet drink. Dark beer draws coffee, cacao, and toasted grain from roasted malt, with deeper color and a heavier body than the brighter styles. Flights of four or more small pours make those differences visible at the same table. A clear sequence begins with the lighter sour, moves toward aromatic IPA, and finishes with stout, preventing roasted malt or intense hops from covering the subtler glass. Bottled products provide the same brewery range in packaged form and show which styles extend beyond the taps. Popcorn is the basic snack. Its light salt and crisp corn reset the palate without competing with a tasting flight. Pizza adds bread, cheese, and tomato, supporting hop bitterness with fat and starch. A barbecue platter moves toward grilled meat, browned edges, and several sauces, matching more firmly with assertive IPA or dark malt. The second-floor pub is compact rather than expansive, with tables set close enough for a shared flight and a small number of dishes.
